ABOUT US
Foryournextparty! We are a group of independent artists working as independent contractors.
We draw live caricatures for birthdays weddings and corporate events.
We provide an entertainment service. We do not provide products.
Our Live on the spot hand drawn caricatures are an entertainment that your guests will enjoy.
Your guests will have an artist draw their face live and on a paper, and they can take home as a party favor from the party. They'll always remember that they got the live hand drawn personalized gift from a special event.
We provide this entertainment and your guests will have a lasting memory.
Who doesn't like to be immortalized by a skilled and talented artist! And Who doesn't like the idea of their face being sketched right on the spot! And, from your party, they will get the caricature they have always wanted to have drawn, but never got at the theme park because of the long lines and the super expensive price per face! Theme park black and white face only caricatures are usually $10 and up, and even $25 per person in some places.
Notice and disclosure: Please read this carefully.
We are an entertainment service, we are not in the business of making products. Our live, hand drawn caricatures are not the focus of the service. The entertainment value of the skilled artist drawing your guests is what provides the entertainment and memory.
Since art is so subjective, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder..." our artists are not in the business of drawing people and making exact photo accurate portraits of people.
A caricature is: a picture, description, or imitation of a person or thing in which certain striking characteristics are exaggerated in order to create a comic or grotesque effect.
That is what most will define a caricature as.
We on the other hand, draw stylized and flattering cartoony representations of the people that sit for us to draw.
We know that most people are very picky and never even really like photos of themselves. Most people are very picky about photos, and most people are actually very camera shy and reclusive. So, we draw cute artworks that look remotely close to the person depending on the artist's guess of the person's temperament.
WE will never please everyone, and we are not responsible for people not liking the artistic representation of the face on paper.
Note: The basic definition of artistic license, should be known to all artists in their creative endeavours:
Again, people are never happy hearing their voice on a recording, let alon seeing their actual face on a photo. So, how could a caricature, that is so subjective be held as "bad" artwork? The fact is, it cannot.
If a customer is not pleased with the drawing of their face, it is subjective, because someone might agree that the drawing looks great.
And, in fact, that happens all the time. Some people that don't like their drawing will sometimes be told by others at the party "That does indeed look exactly like you!"
Our artists are not accountable for pleasing people and making them a drawing that is subjectively interpreted.
We are in the business of entertaining with live art, and not everyone will be happy with their face on a drawing.
Our artists are not responsible for people disagreeing with the quality or likeness of the faces on the art. Art is subjective and up for interpretation, and in this case, the customer is not always right.
Upon agreeing to have the artist come to your party, you are agreeing to have a service. Not a product. We do not charge for paper. We do not charge per face. Or would you like to have each face cost the same as it does at Knott's, Disney, or any other theme park? One face, (per person) at those parks, costs anywhere from $10 black and white and up to $25/45 per colored face. Those concessions provide a product. And at those parks, you sit and agree to a verbal contract that you will pay for the product. Again, art is subjective, and beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so you cannot tell an artist at a theme park that you don't want to pay them for the drawing. In fact, at those parks, you will be directed to speak to park police or sherrif. ( And you really never want to talk to Disney police...)
Same with our artists. You cannot say you didn't like the art.
1. That is insulting to the trained professional artist.
2. That's mean, and you are not to say you don't think the drawing looks like you, because in fact, many others might disagree and say the art indeed looks like the person represented.
3. Please be considerate to the artists, it is not easy drawing people and definitely not easy doing it in a loud party situation. Our artists are trained to draw in the spot, under pressure, but we are not machines, and we aren't perfect replicators and we are not in control of the opinions of the guests that might not agree with the likeness of their caricature.
The artists will arrive to draw live, and they are to be paid for their time. If there are disputes about artwork and likeness, please call our customer service representative Arlene Gonzalez at (323) 455-6079 and we will have another artists sent to the party. But inform us immediately, do not wait till the party is over to complain and say you do not want to pay. You will be held responsible for peying and adhering to the agreement in the contract.
Artist will be paid upon arriving at the party.
Artist will draw the time contracted, no less. Our artists have several parties to attend on weekends and they cannot be held up by your guests wanting more drawings after the artist time has expired.
If you wish the artist to draw more, each face after the contracted time will cost $10 per face black and white drawn on paper with black marker. Or, $75.00 for every extra half hour will be charged to your card on file, or will be required to be paid in cash to the attending artist.
If your guests make our artist late to the next party, the artist risks being late to a party where more people are expecting their contracted service. You put the artist's life at risk, since they will be running late to their next event and will be trying to arrive as quickly as possible.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Our artists are independent contractors. Our group is not a Company, LLC or Incorporation. We are a group of friends that are blessed with an opportunity to work and draw for parties and provide a service. Foryournextpartydoes not provide health insurance to our artists nor are we ensired in the case of injuries at your parties.
For your legal protection and safety, keep the children far from the artist. 10 feet in perimeter.
The artists mostly arrive alone at your party. In the case of any dispute or altercation, the artist will be alone without witnesses to protect his testimony in the event of any problem.
Artist will be paid immediately and will be instructed to make no refunds based on customer complaints regarding the displeasure of persons concerning likeness, quality, technique, or art skill. Art is subjective and at the discretion of the artist, their training allows them to make a quick cute artistic subjective representation of the person or persons being drawn.
If there are elevated disagreements, the artist will be instructed to leave the party immediately, without rendering any refund to the customer. A review of the insistent will be determined by calling the local police department. the artist will be instructed to leave the party immediately, head to their car, and leave to a safe location or to the local police station.
Our artist's well being is our and their own first priority. And we will not support mistreatment of any kind from customers or guests of your party.
If the artist is intimidated or in danger, he will leave immediately without notifying the patron. The artist will call Joe Torres (owner- lead artist), and Arlene Gonzalez-general manager.)
At that time, the patron will be notified that the artist will not be returning to the party because of the threatening or intimidation or mental emotional stress experienced at your party.
We will reserve the right to refuse service at that point, without refund of any kind. We will not support nor tolerate any unbecoming behavior by any patron of a contracted event, or guests therein.
Keep children away from the artists. Do not make mean or sarcastic "opinionated" comments to or near the artist like "that doesn't look like you..." or "That doesn't look like me..."
That can be intimidating to anyone, and to the artist, it will distract and make the remainder of the time uncomfortable for the artist.
For the protection of your investment and payment in the event, do not cause any discomfort to the artist. You want the artist to be at their best, and to be completely comfortable and not distracted. A concentrated and comfortable artist will draw well, and give you the most for your money. The drawings will be as best as the artist can perform.
Again, in the case the artist is uncomfortable, the artist will leave. if you will the artist to return, extra charges will be added and another artist will be sent and not the original artist that left.
Please, be polite to our artists. No one can concentrate with people crowding them. We understand the party environment, but in your best interest, we want to give you the best possible drawings, and a good attitude on your part and from your guests can help the artist happy and drawing well.
If the artist begins to feel intimidated or belittled, and guests are making loud comments directed at the artwork of that artist, the quality of the art will decrease and the artist's concentration will drop. No one likes to be criticized. Our artists need to be concentrated and focused, happy and not intimidated.
Negative comments and rude comments about the art, quality or skill, can really hurt the performance and lower the productivity of our artists at your party. You don't want to demoralize them at yoru party.
We will be complimenting this immediately as of June 25, 2016
1. The artist will be required to take a person with them to every party as a witness to the comportment of you, your guests, and also the comportment of the artist. That person will report to me Joe Torres (owner) regarding the performance of that artist and the party as a whole.
2. First time your guests are rude, the witness and aid of the artist will inform you (the patron) that there was a rude, negative comment made. This will be a warning that you the patron will have to make to your guests, in compliance to our contract with you for the interest of you getting the best service for your payment.Warning 1.
3. Second time the witness has to talk to you about behavior not in compliance to the treatment of the artists you will receive a second warning.
4. Upon the witness or artist having to deal with some sort of ill treatment not compliant to our contract or within the fair treatment of that artists, this will be strike three, and at this point, we reserve the right to refuse service. The artist at this time without warning will leave immediately with his/her witness and will be gone from your party regardless of the time contracted. Whether the time has expired or not. The artist at this point has felt intimidated, or felt abused and will reserve the right to refuse service to you without any refund whatsoever. They will leave the party immediately and if followed by you or any guest, they will call the local police department.
Refund will be determined by me, Joe Torres owner, Sugey Torres artist #2, Arlene Gonzalez: General manager. Plus the incident report (if any) from the local authority.
Following the artist out of the party will be seen as a sign of aggression and artist will feel immediately in danger and will leave to their car, and head home, or to the local police station.
the patron at this point will call Arlene Gonalez at (323) 455-6079 to discuss the situation.
Refunds will not be given until all members calmly discuss the situation.
No refunds will be given at any event contracted.
5. Artist will leave all equipment at the event. It is better our artists leave a volatile situation. Equipment can be replaced.
6. If the artist begins to break down and pack away their equipment before your contracted time has expired, and two warnings have already been given to you the patron, that artist will be in the process of leaving and you will not stop them. The equipment will be needed for their next event.
If you try to touch their equipment and prevent them from reserving the right to refuse service to you, the witness will be instructed to call the local police immediately. And you will have to pay for all equipment and loss of wages suffered to the artist if they are not able to leave to their next party and work. You will then be responsible for payment lost from that next event. Please, do not let this happen.
7. Any injury, emotional, mental or physical to the artist will be prosecuted to the fullest extend of the law. Loss of wages, and likewise equipment damage.
